The land allocated to the east of Al Barsha South is reserved for Universal Studios theme park and new Mohammed bin Rashid City. Al Barsha South is a sub-community of Al Barsha. The parent community is located in West Dubai, south of Al Sufouh. It was previously known as Tecom. Al Barsha is close to Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Internet City and Dubai Marina.
